Veterans Inc. is proud to be the largest provider of support services to veterans and their families in New England.  We focus on finding solutions to the challenges facing veterans.  Our service model incorporates job training, employment services, health and wellness as well as general support services from transportation to legal advice.   Every day of the year we work to service and end homelessness among veterans New England.

Veterans Inc. is looking to fill the key role of Human Resources Manager and accept responsibility for the development and implementation of successful HR strategies and programs for our multi-state organization.

 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Talent Management
  • Performance Management
  • Strategic and Succession Planning
  • Safety and Training Program Coordination
  • Policy Development and Implementation
  • Employee Relations
  • Benefits and Leave Administration
  • Ensuring compliance with Federal and Multi-State employment regulations
    • (MA, CT, ME, NH, VT & RI)

Candidates must possess:

  • A demonstrated track record in developing and implementing strategic HR objectives, experience within a non-profit organization would be beneficial
  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent in a related field
  • SPHR/PHR Certification (preferred)
  • Minimum seven years' strong HR generalist experience, including two or more years in a leadership role
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Knowledge of HRIS system operation, maintenance, and report generation
  • Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel
  • Superior interpersonal, coaching, communication, management, and negotiating skills

 

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' strong human resources generalist experience
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
  • Must be able to pass a CORI and background investigation

 

This is a full time position with full benefits (health, dental, vision, 403B, paid time off, short/long term disability and life insurance, etc.) The annual salary is commensurate to experience.
